Mixing Up Metals

Most of us have heard about layering textures or even patterns and colors but mixing Metals in one space raises questions.  mixing metals is a great way to add visual interest and change the mood of a room.  for example, gold can sometimes read a bit feminine or formal but mixed with matte black can give a cool modern Vibe with the gold actually attic warmth.  kitchens are a great space to play with mixing metals.  For example, in the image above you can see a mixture of gold and black cabinet hardware. The pendants also have both black and gold to carry the theme even further. You will also notice stainless steel appliances which add another mixed metal into the space. The idea is to have fun with it and explore different options instead of matching everything in one metal finish!
