Tips On Choosing A Paint Color

Source: AD

Paint color samples these days have gone a bit daunting.  I mean who needs 20 shades of white?  the best thing to do is start with the first color that makes you smile.  in other words,  the first color that invokes a feeling within you.  If you are trying to create a relaxing mood,  see what color makes you feel that way;  for some, it's a watery blue but for others, it could be a warm tan.  once you have narrowed it down to a color family then choose one shade lighter and one shade darker.  get the smallest sample size available and paint a good size Square sample in a few places in the room.  then just sit in the space at different times of the day.  colors will read differently depending on the type of light and how much light is in the room.  Some shades of gray will read green or blue even. These are just a few tips to help you pick the right paint color for your space. Stay tuned for color theory in design!
